Special Issue on The Components of Our Galaxy

f:id:hatekun815:20130312150226p:plain

A galaxy is a massive, gravitationally bound system consisting of stars, stellar remnants, an interstellar medium of gas and dust, and, it is hypothesized, an important but poorly understood component called dark matter.

Galaxies contain varying numbers of star systems, star clusters and types of interstellar clouds. In between these objects is a sparse interstellar medium of gas, dust, and cosmic rays. Dark matter appears to account for around 90% of the mass of most galaxies. Observational data suggests that supermassive black holes may exist at the center of many, if not all, galaxies. They are thought to be the primary driver of active galactic nuclei found at the core of some galaxies. The Milky Way galaxy appears to harbor at least one such object.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring The Components of Our Galaxy.

Authors should read over the journal’s Author’s Guidelines carefully before submission, Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue The Components of Our Galaxy” should be chosen during your submission.
